tonight... was odd

Enjoying time with friends, when someone that I considered a friend who I hadn't spoken to in a year, called me out of the blue.

I thought it rather... strange so I made it a point to pick up the phone when I'd normally just let vm get it.

The person had bad news unfortunately. Ken Thelen and his Wife Ann had both passed away in the last month. This was unsettling... to say the least

Ken was someone who, though I had brief history with, had left a lasting impression upon my life. Professionally, I looked at the man as a Mentor, because not only did he mentor me in how to do a better job for him, he knew that I needed to look towards the future as well. When I left the company, he was there afterwards to give me valuable advice, and words of praise to would-be employers.

He was just one of those people that.. when you meet them.. you know you're life is better for it.

You will be missed Ken, deeply. As will your wife, who always made it a point to speak with anyone near her in a sincere manner.

My prayers are with you and yours

hitting invasion tonight if anyones out and about

or just pondering on going out tonight


I feel like a heel for not backing my man Chuck G, going to remedy that tonight
